About the Founder

Brett May is a lived experience expert, author, media producer, and Independent Forensic Gang Expert (IFGE) specializing in cultural context, identity development, and restorative justice.
After transforming his life during 24 years of incarceration, Brett now provides expert consulting, educational content, and media that challenge stigma and promote healing. His work has been featured in universities, correctional institutions, and community organizations across California.
Through LWOP Media & Consulting, he brings a unique combination of credibility, insight, and professional excellence to every project.
